CBS News Sunday Morning recently ran a segment on tall buildings.

At first, they featured ultra-tall buildings made from steel and concrete. But then they turned the focus to sustainable skyscrapers made entirely from wood.

We’ve posted about how wood is a great material for decks, pergolas, floors (the list goes on), but we love following stories about tall wood buildings.

The Sunday Morning spot focuses on a tall wood building technique called CLT, or cross laminated timber.

CLT is super strong stuff – as strong as steel – but is also much lighter than concrete. And it’s renewable too. Build on.
