Is SYP an eco-friendly building material?
From cradle to grave, using wood instead of manmade materials benefits climate stabilization in a number of ways. Also, all parts of a tree get used during harvest– from bark used for landscaping to chips making paper. Nothing is wasted.
Is SYP sustainable?
Preserved SYP lasts longer and therefore leaves a smaller footprint compared to untreated materials, which need to be replaced more often. We are planting millions of new trees every year
Does SYP have a special cellular structure?
SYP has a unique cellular structure making it the preferred species for pressure treatment. Its cellular structure also captures and retains carbon which helps the atmosphere and the environment.
